For the Firebase-based Android app. The native Apple app has a separate notice.

Operator and contact

Voisium operates Voisium Cards. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@voisium.com. This notice describes the Android Cards app, not the separate main Voisium app or native iOS app.

Optional account sign-in

Guest use requires no account. Email/password or Google sign-in is handled by Firebase Authentication and the chosen provider. Relevant information can include email address, display name, provider identifiers, Firebase user identifier and authentication status. Firebase handles passwords and verification emails; the app does not put passwords in its local learning records. Android Cards does not offer Apple sign-in.

Local progress and custom decks

The device stores progress, language/level choices, speech speed, daily goal/count and reminder preferences. Guest progress is separate from signed-in progress and is not automatically transferred on sign-in. Custom-deck names and words stay locally, are shared across app accounts on the same device and are not uploaded by the progress-sync feature. Device backups may include local app data according to system settings.

Firebase cloud progress

For signed-in users, card progress syncs to Cloud Firestore under the Firebase user identifier. Fields include card/language identifiers, review stage, due time, review/correct-answer counts, update times and sync metadata. Guest progress, custom-deck text, app settings and the daily counter are not uploaded by this feature. Firebase Authentication and Firestore are Google services and operate under their own terms.

Speech, reminders and use of information

Android’s selected text-to-speech service receives the words and examples to read aloud. Depending on the engine, voice and settings, that provider may process text online; offline-only processing is not guaranteed. The current Cards source has no microphone-recording feature. Optional study reminders are scheduled locally with the applicable device permission.

Information supports account authentication, learning, progress sync and reminders. The app contains no advertising or analytics SDK and does not sell this information or use it for cross-app advertising tracking.

Retention and signing out

Saved information has no automatic expiry. Signing out does not delete the Firebase account or cloud progress. Uninstalling is not an account-deletion request. Local app data may remain in device backups. Custom decks, guest progress and settings are separate from account-linked progress.

Deleting your app account

Choose account deletion in the account menu. Reauthentication and an internet connection may be required. Successful completion deletes the account’s known Firestore progress records, the app’s local signed-in progress record and its Firebase Authentication user. If a step fails, the app reports failure; deletion may need another attempt.

This does not delete your Google Account, guest progress, app settings or device-shared custom decks. Clear app storage to remove the remaining local data, including custom decks. Other devices, backups and providers’ own records are not remotely erased by this action.

Your choices and requests

You can use guest mode, manage settings and notification permissions, reset progress, sign out or delete your account. Depending on your location, you may have rights concerning your personal information. Contact info@voisium.com with questions or requests; do not send passwords. Support uses your message to respond. We update this notice when relevant processing changes.
